Since 2017, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs Portugal-China (AJEPC) has organized the annual cycle of events “5 Events, 4 Continents in Portuguese”, with the aim of fostering connection and sharing of knowledge between participants from different parts of the world. FIN – International Business Fair is a project that covers five business events on four different continents – South America, Africa, Europe and Asia – with networking and the creation of a global business network as its main focus.
“The objective is to create a continuous network of connections between businesspeople from all over the world, promoting maximum synergies, not only between those who participate in FIN cycle events, but also serving as a point of connection with their own network, thus enhancing the number of people it reaches”, explains Alberto Carvalho Neto, founder of FIN and president of AJEPC.
The events in this cycle take place throughout the year, between April and October 2024, covering different formats and content adapted to the territories in which they operate. All events share the common objective of promoting networking among participants, regardless of their areas of activity or geographic origins.
“FIN is a promoter of connections, but it is also a place to share knowledge and experiences. And, with this sharing, new lines of thought are often opened that lead to new solutions and business opportunities. In addition, there are event activities that aim to boost entrepreneurs' projects and give them an opportunity to grow and receive support (from financial to mentoring)”.
The first event, FIN Brasil, takes place on the 3rd and 4th of April, in Florianópolis, in the State of Santa Catarina, in Brazil. Organized locally by the Brazil-Portugal Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, in Santa Catarina, the international business fair has the participation of 250 stands from national and international entities, covering several essential sectors of the economy.
Also on April 22nd, FIN Mozambique will take place in Maputo. At this event, in addition to conferences, networking activities and workshops to support entrepreneurs, there is also a pitch competition to encourage the growth of business projects.
On June 13th and 14th, FIN Portugal will take place in Braga, Portugal. This boutique event focused on establishing high-level connections between attendees, through conferences, workshops and networking events.
“In Portugal, since last year we have been promoting business pitches, which are an initiative that gives a stage to all participants, allowing the presentation of the entities present, business opportunities or what they are looking for, thus increasingly focusing on the objectives who participates”, highlights Alberto Carvalho Neto.
FIN Angola, which takes place on July 19, in Luanda, stands out for its approach focused on supporting entrepreneurs, including visits to the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone and networking activities.
Finally, FIN Macau & Hengqin closes the cycle in October 2024, with two days of events in two different locations. This event aims to promote connections between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, through conferences, networking and business visits.
“Each of FIN’s events serves as a starting or ending point for a complementary event that we promote in coordination with local or global partners.” “In addition, participation in any of the FIN events gives access to the members platform where not only the participants of the event you were at can be found, but everyone else as well”, highlights Alberto Carvalho Neto.
In short, the FIN events cycle, “5 Events, 4 Continents in Portuguese” by AJEPC reinforces the commitment to global networking and the creation of business opportunities in different parts of the world.
