Engineered Arts, an UK-based robotics company, has released a video showing an impressive new humanoid robot that can master realistic facial expressions.
The teaser video shows the grey-faced robot waking up, distorting its faceand examining its hands in disbelief. The video showcases inpressive details in the face including eye movement, reminding us of the 2004 movie 'I Robot'.
Engineered Arts developed a “platform for development into future robotics technologies,” called Ameca which will enable us to study human-robot interaction.
The company is already working to make the robot available for purchase, but has yet to advertise a price.
